I’m out to redefine gospel tune –Emmy G

fresh off the heels of his album unveiling experience, which took area lately, gospel singer, Emmanuel George, aka Emmy G, has talked about he is on a mission to redefine gospel music.

The Port Harcourt-born singer informed Sunday Scoop, "i'm out to insurrection in opposition t the norm and that i'm hoping to cause a paradigm shift in the notion of Gospel music in the nation with my discography.

"I choose to defy the norm. i'm making an attempt to redefine gospel song. My type of track is different. Gospel songs always have a 'churchy' vibe in them and you may tell a gospel track right from the intro. however with many of the songs on my album, you could need to hear closely to the lyrics before you recognize it is a gospel album."

He added, "The eight-music album became produced during the COVID-19 lockdown. it is a melange of afro-fusion sounds― from highlife to afro-pop, RnB and a myriad of genre-bending sounds― to create a distinct sound, it truly is unlike mainstream gospel facts. The songs mirror Christian and ethical messages on religious connectivity, life's struggles, and different things."

in the meantime, guests that attended the album unveiling include Mike Abdul, Akin Alabi, DJ Gosporella, Beejay Sax, Tinuade, Tosin Bee, Dvyne, DaBoomsha and Bishop Empraiz.
