Commentary on Christian singer Matthew West's latest music is starting to be and it be not just from fans — or not it's from angry parents, too.
The tune, titled "Modest Is most well liked," released June 18, begins with West telling his two daughters, featured within the song video, "it be time to have a chat."
"The boys are coming round 'cause you're alluring. And it's all of your mom's fault," he sings whereas the camera pans to spouse, Emily, standing within the kitchen.
He continues, "Modest is most well-liked, the newest vogue vogue is a little greater Amish, a little less Kardashian. What the boys in reality love is a turtleneck and a practical pair of slacks. Honey, modest is most popular, truly, your dad."
Later within the song, West shares his genuine emotions for standard social media platform, TikTok, with the total family dressed in black turtlenecks and khaki pants.
"If I catching you doing dances on the TikTok, in a crop proper, so help me God, you will be grounded 'til the world stops," he sings.
He wrote that it's a "light-hearted tackle an age-historic fight."
whereas West's Instagram publish for the track's debut garnered guide from listeners who discovered the 44-yr-ancient American track Award winner's lyrics humorous, others have been greater crucial.
