there is whatever thing I've wondered about for years; so here's not a knock on the younger generation or church;
and that's Christian songs with lyrics about being on our knees before the Lord Jesus Christ; to worship Him and to ask Him for assist--on our knees.
I've considered hymns sung in churches with the phrases like; "we come earlier than you Lord; on our knees once more..." and nobody in the complete congregation receives on their knees.
It used to be a factor years in the past; returned within the far away previous when our church would have an "altar call" where these desiring help from the Lord would come to the front of the church;
always at the conclusion of service; and ask God for help; and we would sing a tune (doxology I feel they referred to as it) about getting on your knees before the Lord;
everybody that got here forward would get on their knees--and pray through--until they felt they obtained a solution.
and the pastoral bo dy of workers would come around and pray for every adult.
And on the P&W video clips; of church bands singing praise features; once in a fine while you will see an individual--always a band member--get down on there knees; but it surely's so atypical to appear out of area.
So is that this a issue of the past that shouldn't be done anymore? And it hasn't stopped the Christian bands from writing songs about being on our knees.
